ELF Ultimate Blending Brush Review

Hey Dolls!

ELF Ultimate Blending Brush
It's been almost three weeks since I put up a post entitled Beauty Haul #3 featuring Mini Reviews. In that post I hauled two new ELF brushes. I told you all in the review that I have not used these brushes at the time; I said I would give them a try and would review them at a later date. Well, that later date has come! Today I will be reviewing ELF's Ultimate Blending Brush. Wednesday I will review the ELF Contouring Brush. I will be reviewing both brushes with the same bullet point style that I do with of my other reviews. If you are at all interested in my other reviews click the link below. It will take you directly to all other reviews I have. With all that said let's jump into it!

Let's begin with product claims, price, availability, etc.

ELF says, "The Ultimate Blending Brush is specifically designed for advanced makeup techniques that help
achieve professional looks. The large dome-shaped head and densely packed bristles maneuver in and around the crevices and contours of your face for seamless, even coverage. It picks up the perfect amount of product to build coverage with powder, liquid, or mousse foundation, bronzer, or blush. The ultra-fine synthetic fibers are hand cut, shaped, and assembled by artisans for expert craftsmanship for a luxury experience."

This brush retails for $6.00 U.S. dollars and can be purchased only on ELF's website. I will place a direct link to this brush below. At the time of this review, this brush is available.

Onto the Pros:

  • Dense
  • Easy to use
  • Soft Bristles
  • Blends like a dream
  • Inexpensive
Next up... the Cons:

  • Nothing!
Final Thoughts:
I really like this brush! It is dense enough to blend out foundation, blush, contour, or whatever else. It blurs harsh lines. However, it's not so dense that is is hard or uncomfortable to use. It reminds me of my favorite Real Techniques brush. (The expert face brush.) I honestly haven't touched my other foundation brushes since I began using this brush. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Anything else?
Yes. I recommend if you are trying to obtain a full coverage look, use stippling or tapping motions to press the foundation into the skin and buff or blend once most of the product has been stippled into the skin. This will create a flawless, full coverage look.

That's all Folks!

ELF Contouring Brush Review

Hey Dolls!
ELF Contouring Brush

It's been almost three weeks since I put up a post entitled Beauty Haul #3 featuring Mini Reviews. In that
post I hauled two new ELF brushes. I told you all in the review that I have not used these brushes at the time; I said I would give them a try and would review them at a later date. Well, that later date has come! Today I will review the ELF Contouring Brush. I will be reviewing this brush with the same bullet point style that I do with of my other reviews. If you are at all interested in my other reviews click the link below. It will take you directly to all other reviews I have. With all that said let's jump into it!

Let's begin with product claims, price, availability, etc.

ELF says, "This brush is specifically designed for advanced makeup application to help achieve professional looks. The densely packed hair and structured shape achieves flawless dimension along the cheekbones, forehead, and jawline for targeted contouring. Perfect for using with pressed or loose bronzer powder, liquids, and creams to create beautiful sculpting all over the face. This brush is made by artisans with expert craftsmanship to cut, shape, and hand-assemble the ultra-fine synthetic hair for a luxurious experience."

This brush retails for $6.00 U.S. dollars and it can be purchased on ELF's website. I will place a direct link below. At the time of this review, this brush is available.

Onto the Pros:

  • Soft Bristles
  • Easy to use
  • Blends like a dream
  • Creates a soft, well-define contour
Next up... the Cons:
  • Nothing!
Final Thoughts:
I love this brush! It makes contouring quick, precise, and easy. I highly recommend it!

Anything else?
Yes. When using this brush do not blend in circular motions. Create a straight line on the hallows of your cheeks and blend the line upwards. Blending in a circular motion or downwards can make you appear dirty.

That's all Folks!

    Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

    Hey Dolls!

A couple of weeks ago I posted my updated night time skin care routine. (I will link it below.) I introduced a few new products to you guys. One new product was my cleanser (I already did a review on the cleanser. I will link it below.) the second product was my serum. I have been using it for a few months now and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you all. So, without further rambling let's jump into!

    Let's begin...

This is a clear, scent less liquid. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper top; the bottle holds 1 fl. oz. It claims to add moisture to the skin without making the skin oily. It can be purchased on www.amazon.com for $8 - 10.

SIDENOTE: Hyaluronic Acid is found in the skin. It works with collagen to keep the skin hydrated and plump. Using Hyaluronic Acid Serum will help with aging and everyday dehydration. This serum is also not an allergen because it can be found in the skin. Which means even people with sensitive skin can use this product.

This is the actual product I use.
    Onto my Pros...
    • It dries quickly
    • Leaves the skin soft
    • Doesn't make me oilier than I already am
    • Great for sensitive skin
    • Scent less
    • Inexpensive
    Now for the Cons...
    •  Not available is stores
    Repurchase or Nah...

I would definitely repurchase this! It's the BOMB!

    Onto my final thoughts...

I love this serum. I have noticed a huge difference in my overall skin texture. It never makes me oilier than I already am. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a serum.

    Any tips?
    1. Mix it in with your moisturizer. Mixing it in with your moisturizer actually makes it way more hydrating.
    That's all Folks!

I hope you all found this quick review helpful. It seems that you all enjoy shorter reviews more than long reviews. Just in case you guys can't find the serum I will add a link to the serum below.

If you have any comments or questions please leave them in the comments section below. If you would like to contact me please refer to the "Follow me" tab above. Remember to share this blog. Thank you for stopping by the makeup junkie. I hope you have an amazing week!

Review: Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

    Hey Dolls!

I promised to do a review on each of my new holy grail mascaras and I have done one review for the Julep Go Big Mascara, but I haven't made a review for the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara. So, today do a review on that mascara. If you are familiar with my reviews then you know the format. If you all then the format has a few steps. The first step is a basic overview of the product claims, cost, where to buy, container information. The second step in the pros. The third is the cons. Lastly, I answer if I like or dislike the product or not. Sometimes I add steps, but this is the basic format of my reviews. I do this because I want the review to be easy to follow. So, with all of that said, let's jump straight into!

Lets begin with product claims, cost, and container information.
This product claims to be long lasting, have extreme volume and lift, and be bulidable with no clumping. It comes in one shade, which is black. It retails for $2.99 and it can be purchased at Walgreens and online.

    Onto the Pros:

    • Super black
    • Lengthens
    • Voluminous
    • Separating
    • Buildable

    Now... Cons:

    • Nothing

    Do you like this product?
YES! This is one of the best mascaras I have tried. It does everything and I experience no clumping, no smudges, and no flakes!

    Anything else?
    No, That's all Folks!

I hope you enjoyed that post. If you have any questions or comments please leave them in the comments section below. If you would like to contact me please refer to the "follow me" tab above. There you will find my email and all of the social media platforms I am on. I would love to speak to you all, so please follow me! Remember to 1+ the blog and post. Let's get Glowin': How to Achievie the J.Lo Glow on Oily Skin

    Hey Dolls!

It's summertime here in America. And as we all know the classic summer makeup trend is glowy, bronzed skin. As an oily girl it's hard to achieve this makeup look but, recently I have been experimenting more with glowy makeup products. And I can say with the products I have been using I have successfully found a glowy skin makeup routine that is perfect for oily girls. So, let's jump into it!

    Let's begin with skin preparation:
    • After cleaning the face apply Benefit Porefessional all over the face. Focus this product on areas that have large pores.
    • Apply Carmex to the lips to prepare them for future lip color.
    Next up Foundation...
    1. On the back of my hand I will pump 1 1/2 pumps of my Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation in Deep 74.
    2. Then I will mix a 1/2 pump of L'Oreal Magic Lumi Primer into the foundation on the back of my hand.
    3. Once the product is mixed together I dot the foundation onto my face. I focus most of the product on the areas of my skin that need the most coverage.
    4. Once I have my desired amount of foundation dotted onto my skin, I will then use my Real Techniques expert face brush to blend out my foundation. I use circular buffing motions to create a flawless, airbrushed finish.
    5. After blending out my foundation I apply MAC studio finish concealer in NW 50 with my ELF flawless concealer brush under my eyes to cancel out my dark circles.
    6. To brighten the under eyes and highlight the center of my face I use my L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in fawn. I take my ring finger and blend the product out. If I have harsh edges I go back in with my expert face brush and blend those out.
    7. Then to set my foundation I use Clinique Blended Face Powder in 05 Transparency. I use a large powder brush to lightly apply the powder.
    8. Once my foundation is set, I will take ELF mineral blemish powder in Clear on my ELF pointed foundation brush. I will press the powder into my highlighted areas as well as my under eyes.
    Time to get glowin'...
    1. After setting everything I take an angled blush brush and apply my bronzer from the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder Duo in Turks and Caicos. When I am applying the bronzer I don't want to contour. I am really just using it to warm up my complexion.
    2. To add a bit of glow to the temples I apply Wet n' Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Carnaval in Rio with a large, fluffy powder brush.
    3. To begin adding glow to my skin I apply a shimmery peachy golden blush combo to my cheeks.
    4. To add glow to my cheek bones I use my Wet n' Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow. I Also apply the highlighter lightly onto the center of my forehead, my cupids bow, the middle of my nose, and my chin.
    5. Once my glow is to my desired intensity I spray Model in a Bottle Matte Finish Setting spray. This will remove the powdery finish of my products as well as lock my makeup into place.
    That's all Folks!
I have been able to achieve this peachy, golden, bronzy glow without getting oily because of my
foundation and setting spray. I highly recommend this look to any person but, if you are oily I suggest you go out and get the Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation and the Model in a Bottle matte finish Setting spray. (If you want more info on these products I will link my reviews in the link section below.)

Now us oily girls can achieve the J. Lo bronzy, golden goddess look without turning into oil slicks.

I hope you all found this post helpful. If you have questions or comments feel free to leave them in the comments section below. Remember to share this post with family and friends. Add my on google plus to receive updates on The Makeup Junkie. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed week!

    Q&A #3

    Hey Dolls!

So, I announced another question and answer post a few months ago. It has taken me a while to get to this post. I'm sorry for the delay. Today, I am going to answer a few questions that were asked of me. Let's get start.

P.S. If you ever have questions feel free to contact me whenever. I will be more than happy to help you Dolls out. You can reach me via email and all other social media platforms I am on. The Follow Me tab above will link you to all of my social media accounts as well as my email.

    1. "I'm glad you are on Instagram more. I find you to be hilarious! Are you on any other social media sites?"
      1. I'm glad I am on Instagram more as well. It is a great way to interact with all of you Dolls as well as anyone else in the beauty community. I do have other social media accounts. I will link them here: The Make-up Junkie: Follow Me
    2. "Can you do a makeup storage post? I am struggling to properly store my makeup and I would love see your set up."
      1. I actually am making a video blog for this topic as I type this. Quite a few of your have asked me for an in depth look into my storage. I will post this blog within the next couple of weeks. For now you can link the link here to see a sneak peek of my storage: @picklesandoreos23• Instagram photos and videos
    3. "I have been using your last foundation routine and it has been great, however it has been getting warmer where I live and I was hoping you could post a new foundation routine for summer."
      1. I am really glad you liked that routine! I am currently on the hunt for an amazing summer time foundation. Once I find one and have a set routine I promise to share it with you all.
    4. "I saw you purchased the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. Do you like it and can you do a review on it?"
      1. I have yet to try this foundation. When I do try the foundation I will definitely review it and let you all know how I like it.
    5. "How did you get rid of your acne?"
      1. I am to be honest I really didn't. It slowly stopped being as severe and it just went away over time with the end of I guess puberty. I did use the acne free system and clean and clear, so that may have helped.
    6. "What do you use to clean your makeup brushes?"
      1. I actually use dawn dish soap and olive oil. I mix them together and swirl my brush in the solution and clean then with my hands. Easy on fuss!
    7. "How to you get rid  of undereye circles?"
      1. Undereye circles are caused by several different things; heredity, lack of sleep, liver problems, and more. Home remedies include chilled green tea bags or metal spoons places on the under eyes, liver detox, and more sleep. There are hundreds of problems that claim to reduce the appearance of under eye circles and bag. I am not certain if any of them work. You can always look at reviews, ingredient lists, and product claims to find the best products for you. I hope that helped!
    8. "If you had to choose only five makeup items to use for the rest of your life which five would you choose?"
      1. Kat Von D Lock-it Foundation
      2. Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Highlight in the copper shade
      3. City Color Matte Bronzer
      4. L'Oreal False Fiber Lashes mascara in Carbon Black
      5. Wet n Wild Fergie Creme Eyeliner in Coco Riche for my eyebrows.
    9. "Can you do an in depth review on the products in your Walgreens haul? I am super curious about the mascara and foundation."
      1. I can do a review for the mascara but, I already have a instagram review for the foundation I will link the review below. If you have an instagram make sure you follow me, becasue every post on this blog is pre-written, so it may take a while for me to review something or post something that you guys would like to see. I generally will use my instagram to talk about products in real time.
    10. "I'm sure that being a beauty blogger you get a lot of questions like this, but I was curious how do you get started in the beauty world.?"
      1. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, but I believe you are asking me how do you become a professional in the beauty community. And if I am correct then my answer would be to be yourself. This is a large community of people. Most people in the beauty world are talented and have a lot of knowledge, but what makes a difference for people is personality. People can sense if you are nice or not. It you aren't personable it is hard to get a following;at least a genuine following. Most people are nice people especially when they are being them self. Moral to my story is be you and you will attract equally real and genuine followers and supporters.
    11. "How is your top five favorite youtube/instagram beauty gurus?"
      1.  MannyMua I have been following him since he became an instagrammer. I feel like he is extremely genuine and real. I see him going places no other male makeup artist has gone.
      2. Amy's Makeup Box has been growing on me recently. She is extremely talented lady and she is super sweet.
      3. Kathleen Lights is amazing. I have been obsessed with her lately. She so genuine, funny, and pretty. I just adore her!
      4. Queenii Rozenblad she is an amazing makeup artist and I love that she doesn't feel the need to only buy high end or only shop at Sephora or Ulta or a makeup counter. Her collection and makeup style is very versatile and vast. Her creatively is amazing. As well as her spirit. I just love her.
      5. What Would Lizzy Do she is so funny and real it is... well unreal. She is raw and truthful. She has no shame in her game. Her reviews and collaborations with companies are genuine. Her tutorials are funny and realistic. Her style and personality is extremely relatable and she is out of this world gorgeous. I have been following her for a minute now and I can truthfully say her is awesome.
    12. "Will you be creating a YouTube channel in the near future?"
      1. That is a question I receive quite a bit from you dolls, but I am not so sure. I live a busy life style and I don't know if I could dedicated myself to my blog and a YouTube account. I am not one to half do something of the magnitude, so I don't know. I won't say no, but I also won't say yes.
    13. "Can you do a room tour? I would love to see how your organize your closet and your makeup?"
      1. I am not sure if I want to do a full on room tour per say. My room isn't that colorful or anything to make an entire tour dedicated to it, but maybe in the future I will.
    That's all folks!

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you would like to contact me please refer to the 'follow me' tab above. There you will find all of the social media platforms I am on. Remember to share and 1+ this post and the blog. Thank you for stopping by the makeup junkie. I hope you all have an amazing week!

    Beauty Q&A

    Hey Dolls!

I reached out to you Dolls on Google Plus and Twitter and I asked for you to email me any beauty related questions you had.

Today, as I am sure you guessed, I will be answering a few if the questions that I was asked. Before I stsrt I would like to say if your questions didn't get answered ij this post or you still have more questions please email me. My email is makeupjunkie202023@gmail.com It is diffcult to answer every question in a blog post without making the blog post extremely long. So, for sake of time I generally like to answer the most asked questions. With that said let's jump into it!

    1. Can what mascara do you use and can you please do a updated mascara routine? In your last couple of Google Plus posts your lashes have been amazing!
      • Thanks! I switch between two mascaras. I would tell you what they are, but I have reviews on them coming soon! I totally can do a updated mascara routine.
    2. Is there a foundation you would suggest for dry skin?
      • No, sorry I don't have dry skin personally so I don't really know about any that are amazing. However I heard the L'Oreal True Match Lumi and the Armani Luminous Silk foundation were great. Maybe you should try those if you are in the market for a new foundation for dry skin.
    3. You use your naked 3 palette a lot. I was wondering if you could do more tutorials without using that palette?
      • I know I use it a lot. I use it a lot because the colors aren't warm and they aren't cool. They have a neutral undertone so, they are more versatile for everyone's undertone. I do understand that you would like to see other palette. I have several tutorials coming up without it. So, stay tuned.
    4. Can you do an eyebrow tutorial with pictures. I would love to see a step by step pictorial. I am new to makeup and would like to see how you do your eyebrows.
      • I definitely can do that!
    5. You never use the fashion section of your blog! I was hoping you could do OOTWs. I would love to see your clothing style!
      • It's funny that someone asked this. I was thinking of doing some fashion based posts. I wasn't so sure, but since it seems like you Dolls would like to see, then I will do it! So, stay tuned!
    6. I love your glasses! Could you please tell me what brand and what type of glasses do you have?
      • I get this question a lot! Unfortunately, I don't know the type. I have had it for so long that the numbers have worn off. However, I do know that the brand is is BCBGMAXAZRIA.
    7. Do you have an Instagram?
      • Yes I do have an Instagram, my username is picklesandoreos23. (Don't judge my username lol.) If you would like you can follow me on there!
    8. I saw a selfie of you of you wearing this amazing peach lip color! Can you please tell me what lipstick that was?
      • I think you are talking about  the Gerard Cosmetics lip glosses in Salmon and Butter Cream. Salmon is a beauty coral, orange. Butter Cream is a baby pink color. I mixed them together to achieve a peachy tone.
    9. I know you don't do videos, but I was wondering if you could do a Get Ready With Me video. I would love to see your makeup process!
      • I would have to think about that, because I previously tried to film YouTube videos; but I was unsuccessful. So, with that said I don't see myself doing videos anytime soon, but I wouldn't say I never would try to do videos again.
    10. If you could only have five makeup products what would they be?
      • That is a really hard question... I would say Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Clinque Blended Face Powder, L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, my favorite mascara, and my naked 3 palette. I love these items. I can't stop using them!
    11. What is your foundation color in the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation?
      • 6W1 Sandalwood is my color

    Review: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

    Hey Dolls!

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie!

Today I am going to review the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I know there is a lot of hype around this
concealer, so I wanted to give my honest opinion on this product. Of course this will be based on my experience with this on my skin. With that said, you may try this and hate it or try it and love it; everyone's skin is different and products work differently for everyone. Due to this, my reviews should be used as a resource but, not as a fact. I hope you understand what I meant by that, if you are curious my skin type combination oily to normal. With all that said, let's jump into it!

Beauty Haul #3 featuring Mini Reviews

    Hey Dolls!

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie! As you all know I am a ride or die makeup addict. Especially when it comes to the drugstore. (I will go "ham and cheese" in the drugstore's beauty section.) So, it usual makeup addict spirit, I raided the drugstore and bought a few goodies. I also purchased some things from eyeslipsface.com. With all that said let's jump straight into it!

    • L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara in Blackest Black- I purchased this from my local Walgreens for about $10. (Which in my opinion is expensive for a drugstore mascara.) The product is extremely black and it has a plastic spiky wand. This mascara does a wonderful job of separating my lashes and making them appear as if there are million of them, but it does not add volume to my lashes. With that being said I DO NOT like this product and I will NOT be repurchasing it.

    • L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara in Black Brown- I have been listening to people sing the praises of this product for years and I felt that it was time for me to see what they were all raving about. The product claims to lengthen and separate lashes. I can say it is great at separating the lashes, but it does not lengthen eyelashes as much as I was hoping. Honestly, my Jordana mascara works much better.

    • L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Eyeliner- I have been in the market for an amazing felt tip eyeliner for quite a while now and when I ran across this I figured it would be worth a try. Boy, was I wrong! The liner's tip is too thick at the end to get a precise line, the formula is patchy and, it's not "carbon" black once so ever. The only good thing about this is, it doesn't remove easily after it has dried.

    • Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard- If you have been following my blog for a while, then you know how obsessed I am with the other three shimmer palettes in this line. They are so opaque and they give a gorgeous sheen-y glow. They are never glittery or chunky. I swear by these! Naturally, when I saw this new one I had to pick it up. This shade is a light, yellow toned gold. This would be gorgeous on all skin tones. (If you are very fair or very dark use this with a very light hand and blend it into the skin well. If it is not well blended in it may seem ashy or muddy.) Like all of the other it comes in huge packaging, which I am not a fan of. Never the less this is hands down the best drugstore powder highlight. I recommend this collection to everyone!

    • Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Eyeliner in Taupe of the Morning- I purchased this because I am looking for a "nude" waterliner eye pencil that would work for my medium deep skin tone. A lot of the "nude" liners are way too light for me skin tone, so when I saw this color I couldn't help but pick it up. Sadly, it was a waste of .99 cents. This product has a hard time going onto my water line as well as staying there once it is on. This eyeliner is creamy and soft to the touch, but the lasting power is awful.

    • Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Shaper, Wet n Wild Mega Clear Mascara, and Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Pencil in Brunettes do it better- I recently posted an updated brow tutorial featuring these products. I figured for these few products I can add them into one bullet point because I have been using them in tangent.
      • Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Shaper- This is suppose to be a wax that holds the eyebrow hairs in place. Sadly, it doesn't do that. This product has a greasy texture which I believe is the reason it cannot hold the brows in place.
      • Wet N Wild Mega clear mascara- I have been using this to help set my brows after I am finished filling them in. I am on the fence about this product. This works great went it comes to shaping the brows and blending the eyebrow gel in, but it doesn't make them stay in place all day. Fortunately, for me my eyebrow hairs are not too unruly nor, so the lasting power doesn't bug me much. However, if you are have extremely curly brow hairs I would not suggest this.
      • Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Pencil- I love this pencil. One side is the pencil and the other is a spoolie. The pencil is opaque and easy to use, but I don't like how small the pencil is, nor do I like that it has to be sharpened.
    • Rimmel Stay Matte Primer- I have been wanting to try this for a while and I finally had the opportunity. This primer keeps me matte for the eight hours it says it will keep me matte. After that I have to blot per the usual. Which is fine with me. If you are in the market for an inexpensive mattifying primer then I suggest this one.

    Onto the ELF products:
    • Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Turk & Caicos- This has been one of my favorite bronzers for a while now. I am not sure If I mentioned it before or not, but I just decided to repurchase it because I hit pan.

    • Contouring Brush- This is a new brush from ELF. This is suppose to be used to create a structured contour line. I haven't tried this yet, but I will very soon. Once I have tried this for a while I will review it.

    • Ultimate Blending Brush- This is another new brush from ELF. This is suppose be used to blend
foundation, blush, bronzer, etc. Again, I haven't tried this yet, but I will very soon. I will eventually review it.
    That's all Folks!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup Review

    Hey Dolls,

First off let me start by saying I hope you all had a happy holiday season. Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas,or Kwanzaa I hope your holiday season was filled with joy and love. I would also like to wish everyone a happy new year! I hope this year is full of love and blessing.

As you all know I took a holiday vacation away from the blog, but I didn't take a vacation away from makeup. While the holiday season was among us, I purchased and received quite a few makeup items. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup (it is a foundation) was among the products I tried out. I have used the foundation for several weeks now and I thought it would be a prefect time to review this product.

As I am sure you all guessed today's post will be a review on this foundation. This review will be formulated a lot like my other reviews. There will be a brief summary of the products claims as well as a brief run down of the container, price, and color range. Then, there I will list the pros and cons and I will list if there are any affordable dupes for this product. Last, but not least, I will summarize my feelings on the product, I will give a few tips for optimal use of this product and I will finally say if I like or dislike the product. So, with all that said, let's jump into the review!

Let's begin with the product claims, shades, cost, and container information:

According to the Estee Lauder the Double Wear foundation has 15-hour staying power. They say it's a flawless long-wearing makeup that stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, and nonstop activity. They say it won't change color, smudge or come off on clothes. Feels lightweight and comfortable. The company claims that the foundation is medium, bulidable coverage. Estee Lauder says that the finish of the foundation is a natural/ semi matte finish. Which means it will not be dewy or matte, but it will be somewhere in between. They say it works well for all skin types. A few facts that Estee Lauder's website give on the foundation are: oil-free, dermatologist tested, non-acnegenic; won't clog pores, and fragrance free. The bottle is made of glass. It is a frosted rectangular glass bottle. The bottle contains 1 FL. OZ. This foundation comes in 30 shades and it retails for $37.00 U.S. dollars. This product can be found in most department stores (Macy's, Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, etc.), Sephora, and esteelauder.com.

    Onto Pros:
    • Long lasting
    • Oil Control
    • Doesn't transfer
    Now Cons:
    • SPF so there is a white cast in pictures
    • Has the potential to be messy; there is no pump and the product is liquid.
    Any Dupes?

I wouldn't say that there is a drugstore option that this exactly like this product. if you are looking for a product that is long lasting and from the drugstore I would suggest Revlon Colorstay Foundation. The colorstay is long lasting with bulidable coverage, but it doesn't feel as lightweight as the Estee Lauder Double Wear does.

    Any Tips?

    • This foundation is great for all skin types, however if you are on the normal to dry side i would use a really moisturizing moisturizer and/or primer. It will help the product glide.

    • Use a damp, dense dome shaped foundation brush to apply and bled out this product. This product doesn't come with a pump. Therefore, it is easy to spill product, I would suggest purchasing a pump from MAC or NARS.
    Do I like this product?

Yes, I like this product and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a long wearing, lightweight foundation.

    Anything else?

I know some of you will want to know how I use this product and what other products I may use with, etc, etc. I will have a new foundation routine up soon. I will answer all foundation routine like questions there. So, stay tuned for that! In the meantime checkout my foundation routine and review for the Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation. I will link that post below.

    Drugstore Beauty Haul

    Hey Dolls!

Last week I did a little shopping and I wanted to share my new beauty goodies with you all. Therefore, today's blog post is going to be a haul. Let's jump into it!

    Let's begin...
    • I want to begin with my new Cocoa Bean lip gloss from Gerard Cosmetics. The reason I want to start here is because I did not purchase this,  I won it in a giveaway sponsored by Gerard Cosmetics, Nicole Guerriero, and bloandgo. This lip gloss retails for $24.00 in America and it is sold on www.gerardcosmetics.com . The color is an amazing mauve-y, brown shade. This lip gloss was formulated by the amazing YouTube beauty guru, Missy Lynn. I love this lip gloss!
    • I went to Ross and took a glance through there beauty section and found an eyeshadow palette. It is called Metallics Eyeshadows. It is from JLB cosmetics. I have personally never heard of this company but this palette caught my eye because it has 12 shades in it that range from light to dark. Which should make it perfect for day and night. I have not swatched the colors or used it yet so, I can't say if it is worth purchasing. I will do a review sometime in the near future on it.
    • I stopped at Walgreens on my way home from school the other day and I saw the following things on sale...
      • Got 2b Oil-licious Opulent Smooth Shampoo
      • L'Oreal Lock It Bold Control Hairspray
      • Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover
      • Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Moisture Whip Leave-in Conditioner
      • Jordana 12 H made to last liquid eyeliner pencil in 04 purple fix
      • Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Powder in 15 Bella Purple
    That's all folks!

I didn't really pick up a lot because, lately I haven't been that interested in shopping. I will do reviews on most if not all of these products I mentioned.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions please feel free to leave them in the comment section below. If you would like to contact me please refer to the "Follow me" tab above. Remember to share this blog and post. Thank you fro stopping by the makeup junkie. I hope you have a great week!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing Review

    Hey Dolls!

I have been using the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing powder for quite some time and I have even mentioned on the blog before. One of you Dolls sent me an email and pointed out that although I mentioned it before I never shared my thoughts on it. So, I thought it was time to do a review; this review is going to be a quick review. You all seem to response better to the quick review format than the long review format. So, I will stick to shorter, more condensed reviews. With all that said, lets jump into the review.

    Let's begin...

The product comes in a plastic tub. It comes in various sizes; I purchased the one pound container. The clay comes in powder form. The clay is a scent less tan powder. It can be purchased on various health websites. I purchased mine from www.amazon.com . This product retails for $8 to $10.

    Onto the Pros...
    • Clears out my pores
    • Inexpensive
    • Reduces oils
    • Scent less
    • All natural
    Now the Cons...
    • A little harsh. Not for sensitive skin.
     Would I repurchase this product?

I will repurchase this when I run out.

    My final thoughts...

I love this mask. My pores are completely clear. Also, my pores are several times smaller than normal after using this mask. I have noticed my skin is less oily after using this mask. Additionally, my skin seems less prone to white heads and pimples after this product has been used. I adore how affordable it is. This is really an amazing mask. I highly recommend this to everyone especially to my oily Dolls! If you are dry, have sensitive skin or have small pores I would NOT recommend this to you.

    Any tips?
    1. Mix water or apple cider vinegar and the clay a bowl. This will turn the clay from a powder consistency to a thick cream consistency. Using apple cider vinegar will enhace the power of the mask.

    That's all folks!
