Get Ready for Summer: Total Body Workout

Hey Dolls!

January is almost over and I bet some of you have already given up on your resolution to get fit for the summer. I know it can be hard to maintain motivation and physical stamina when trying to lose weight. Also, I am struggling with keeping up with my weight loss goals. The busier I get, the harder it seems to get in a good workout or eat a good meal and I feel like I am losing the edge I had in the beginning.

One night I researched ways to keep up my fitness momentum and I have come up with some awesome tips and tricks. I have had the ability to try these tips and tricks, as well as, put my own spin on them. So, I figured it was time to share my favorite ways to keep motivated, workout, and eat well. I have started a health series entitled, summertime fly. (If you would like to keep up with all of the posts in this series search the words summertime fly in the search box on the blog.) The first post in this series will be my total body workout. I know I posted on a couple months back but, this one is a little more advanced and such. This routine will include weight training, muscle building various parts of the body, as well as, some good old cardio.

Just reminder, these are just suggestions; this routine is not mandatory. You may add an exercise or take away an exercise. You can also change the number of reputations. Feel free to personalize this workout as much or as little as you would like. Please keep in mind this particular workout works for me, it may not work for you. With all that said, let's jump into it!

P.S. I am not a trainer therefore I am not good at explaining each workout if you are confused or you do not know how to do any of the workouts please Google them for videos of trainers doing them. I found almost all of these workouts through Google.

DIY Moisturizing, Stimulating Scrub

Hey Dolls!

Winter is here and it is reeking on our skin! The cool temperatures suck the moisture out of the skin. Which is why it is common for people to experience tight, dehydrated, flaky, itchy, or dull looking skin. If you are suffering from any of these issues I suggest using hydrating moisturizer and scrub. As I am sure you all know spas, department stores, and drugstores are filled with products that claim to rejuvenate and moisturize the skin but, often those products don't work or they are expensive to continuously repurchase. An alternative to buying products is making products. Often times making skin care yourself results in less money spent as well as a better result because, you choose what products you use on your skin. This means each product is tailor made for you to use and should give your skin the best result. With that being said I would like to share my favorite all natural, DIY (do it yourself) skin care products with you Dolls; I am creating a series called Au naturel. This series is only going to cover natural and DIY skin care topics.
Cinnamon

Tea Tree Oil
Today's post will begin this series; today's post is going to be on a DIY moisturizing, stimulating scrub. This scrub can be used on the face or body. It can be used on the face no more than two times a week
(depending on the skin type and skin tone) and it can be used on the body no more than two times a week. This scrub contains stimulating oils and spices like peppermint oil or tree tree oil or cinnamon. If you are allergic or sensitive to these products please do not use this scrub. Also, if you have roseca or extremely sensitive skin please don't use this scrub. I recommend this scrub for anyone with dull, dehydrated skin. Oily and combination skin could benefit from this product. If you have acne prone skin please beware of over stimulation. Over stimulation may cause acne.

Lastly, feel free to add any other ingredients or take away any ingredients. This recipe is what works for me. Please remember to look at this as a suggestion and not a requirement. With all of that said let's jump into it!

What ingredients you will need:

  • 3 to 6 drops of tea tree oil, peppermint oil, or another stimulating essential oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of freshly ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of organic honey
  • 1/4 cup of brown or white sugar
What tools you will need:
  • a bowl with a top
  • a spoon
  • measuring cups and spoons
The recipe:
  • Add the sugar into your bowl.
  • Then add in all of the other ingredients.
  • Mix the mixture until it is completely combined.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Tips and Tricks:
  • When using this on the face, use your hands and circular motions. DO NOT use a clarsonic or any other tool; using a tool will damage the skin.
  • Remove this product with warm water.
Once you have incorporated this scrub into your skin care routine you will begin to see and feel the difference in your skin. My skin became soft, smooth, more even in appearance, and luminous.

That's all folks!

Review: Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

Hey Dolls!

I promised to do a review on each of my new holy grail mascaras and I have done one review for the Julep Go Big Mascara, but I haven't made a review for the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara. So, today do a review on that mascara. If you are familiar with my reviews then you know the format. If you all then the format has a few steps. The first step is a basic overview of the product claims, cost, where to buy, container information. The second step in the pros. The third is the cons. Lastly, I answer if I like or dislike the product or not. Sometimes I add steps, but this is the basic format of my reviews. I do this because I want the review to be easy to follow. So, with all of that said, let's jump straight into!

Lets begin with product claims, cost, and container information.
This product claims to be long lasting, have extreme volume and lift, and be bulidable with no clumping. It comes in one shade, which is black. It retails for $2.99 and it can be purchased at Walgreens and online.

Onto the Pros:

  • Super black
  • Lengthens
  • Voluminous
  • Separating
  • Buildable

Now... Cons:

  • Nothing

Do you like this product?
YES! This is one of the best mascaras I have tried. It does everything and I experience no clumping, no smudges, and no flakes!

Anything else?
No, That's all Folks!

I hope you enjoyed that post. If you have any questions or comments please leave them in the comments section below. If you would like to contact me please refer to the "follow me" tab above. Current Beauty Favorites

Hey Dolls!

I was incredibly busy during late October, all of November, and early December (#firstworldcollegekidproblems), so I wasn't buying makeup nor, was I applying much makeup. That unfortunately means I wasn't able to post beauty favorites for the last couple of months. My last monthly beauty favorites was my October Beauty Favorites and it was pre-scheduled a couple of weeks ahead of time.
When Christmas break rolled around I found a bit more time to shop and apply makeup. So, I figured I would share my favorite products with you Dolls. These are the products I have been using for the last couple of months and I have loved them so much that I thought it was worth sharing with you all! With all that said, let's jump straight into it.

Let' begin with skincare:

  • Bliss Peeling Groovy Facial Serum- I am obsessed with this serum. It is a smoothing, brightening, pore reducing, exfoliating serum. My face has been so smooth, soft, and radiant since using this product. I highly recommend this for anyone who has pigmentation, large pores, wrinkles, and/ or dull skin.
  • Julep Elixir Organic Moroccan Argan Oil- I have recently been trying to find a simpler, more natural skin care routine. So, I did a lot of research and people were saying they love using Argan oil as a facial moisturizer. A lot of them were saying it works well for all skin types. So, I bought some argan oil from Julep.com and I have to say I love using argan oil on my face! My skin has been AMAZING since I started using argan oil. I have actually experienced less oil and my skin glows. I recommend this to EVERYONE.
Moving on to Makeup:
  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup- I purchased this foundation right before Christmas and I have worn it everyday since purchasing it. At first I was not feeling it. I couldn't get it to sit properly on my skin. After trying a million different primers and brushes I finally discovered how to best apply it to my skin. I now use two different primers and I apply with my fingers and a dense, domed brush. I recommend this product to anyone who needs long lasting, medium build able coverage.
  • No Name Ulta Blush- I am not sure of you all knew this about me, but I am not a huge blush wearer.
    Ulta Blush
I generally shy away from blushes because as a dark skinned person they are either too ashy or too red, but when I was helping my mom clean her room, we found a palette of Ulta brand blushes. My mom said she didn't want them and I decided I would take them. I depotted them and added them to my collection. Sadly, their were no names on the blushes, but my favorite one this peachy pink blush with golden shimmers. I LOVE this blush. This is perfect for anyone who has a medium brown complexion or any complexion lighter than that. It gives such a gorgeous glow! Like previously stated I don't know the name and I don't know if it is apart of Ulta's permanent collection. So, I am so sorry, hopefully you can find something similar.
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 30 Cafe- This has been an awesome lightweight, light coverage concealer. It is perfect for days when I don't want a lot of coverage and/ or I don't want to feel a lot of makeup on my skin. It is super moisturizing and easy to apply. I love it!
  • Smashbox Always Sharp Pencil Eyeliners- I was given a gift set of these liners for Christmas and I a SO glad that I did. They are the creamiest, smoothest, waterproof kohl eyeliners EVER! I used them daily. I recommend them to all of you!
  • Gerard Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Salmon- OMG! This lip gloss has been the answer to all of my prayers! It is the prefect spring/summer orange-y, coral color of people with dark skin! It is beyond pretty, super opaque, and yes to apply. I am in love.
  • Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Little Saint- This is a quad filled with gorgeous creamy, opaque easy to blend eyeshadows. The palette contains 2 matte shades and 2 shimmery shades. I love this little palette so much!
  • Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Carnaval in Rio- If you have been following the blog for a while you know I love these highlighters in the shades Rose Gold Goddess and Rose Champagne Glow. I sure you guys always know I wasn't really in love with Carnaval in Rio when I bought it, but lately that shade has been my favorite. (If you are unfamiliar with this product I will link my review below.) This is the best drugstore highlighter for dark skin. It makes me look like I am glowing from within. It is so beautiful! I can't stop wearing it! I recommend this for my chocolate girls. The medium complexions might be able to pull it of, but no other skin tones; it would look muddy on fair or light skin tones.
  • City Color Contour Effects- I love using the contour color in this palette as well as the highlight color. The contour shade is gorgeous because it is a matte, extremely pigmented, warm toned contour color. The highlight shade is a white shade with shimmers in it. I love it to set the highlighted portions of my face.
  • NYX Eye Shadow Base in Skin Tone- This is the prefect eye shadow base. My lids are so oily and shadows always crease on me. I have tried so many high end brands and they still all crease on me, but this NYX base is awesome.
  • Julep Go Big Mascara- I won't talk about this too much because I have a review up on the blog. I will say that I love this mascara.
  • Hard Candy 1,000 Lashes lash primer- This my holy grail mascara primer. It helps lengthen and separate my lashes and it is super inexpensive.
  • Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing mascara- I love how voluminous and long this makes my lashes. I experience no flaking and no smudging. Plus it is less than $4.00!
  • Sally Hansen Brow Trimming Scissors- I love how well these glide through my eyebrows. I can cut long hairs so quickly and precisely its awesome!
That's all Folks!

Mascara Routine Featuring Julep Go Big and Jordana Best Lash Extreme

Hey Dolls!
It was HIGHLY requested for me to update my mascara routine so, today's post I will be doing just that;
giving a step by step tutorial on my mascara routine. Let's jump into it.

  1. I comb out my lashes with a lash comb. This remove any bits of old mascara or liner from the lashes.
  2. I then curl my lashes. I pump the lash curl to help amplify the curl.
  3. Then go in with my Hard Candy 1,000 lashes fiberized lash weave primer.
  4. After my primer dries I apply Julep Go Big Mascara as my first and second coat. I wiggle the wand up the lashes to evenly distribute the product. I make sure to apply it to the inner and outer most corners of the lashes as well as on the back. I will repeat this process if needed.
  5. I comb out any clumps and separate any lashes that may have gotten stuck together.
  6. I then apply Jordana Best Last Extreme Volumizing  mascara as my third and fourth coat. I repeat the same wiggling process as I used with the my Go Big mascara.
  7. Once all of the mascara is applied if I see any clumping I use the lash comb to remove the clumps.
  8. Once the lashes are dry I will then curl them once more to give more volume and curl.
That's all folks!

That was my mascara routine. It is simple and easy to do. This routine can be used with any mascara or mascara combo. This routine is a great way to complete any eye look.

Hope you found this post helpful. If you have any questions then leave them in the comments section below. If you would like to contact me refer to the "follow me" page about. Julep Go Big Mascara Review

Hey Dolls!

Let's begin with the product claims, cost, and container information:

According to Julep this mascara is a volumizing mascara. They say it will give bombshell body, it is never sparse or goopy. They also say it doesn't flake, smudge or clump. It only comes in black. It retails for $24.00 on the Julep website but, it can also be purchased from ebay, amazon, and esty.
Julep Go Big Mascara

Onto Pros:

  • Super black
  • Extremely volumizing
  • Lengthens
  • Small brush which makes it easy to get to the lower lashes and the inner lashes.
  • Build able

Next up... Cons:

  • Wet Formula
  • Does smudge
  • Does clump a little

Do I like this product?

  • Yes! I love how long and voluminous it makes the my lashes. The only annoying thing is it does clump and it does smudge when it is wet. After it is dry there is NO smudging once so ever. To remove the smudges I used a Q-tip covered in makeup remover and to stop clumping I use a clean spoolie.
Anything else?
  • Stay tuned for my next mascara review and my updated mascara routine!
That's all folks!

Beauty Q&A

Hey Dolls!

I reached out to you Dolls on Google Plus and Twitter and I asked for you to email me any beauty related questions you had.

Today, as I am sure you guessed, I will be answering a few if the questions that I was asked. Before I stsrt I would like to say if your questions didn't get answered ij this post or you still have more questions please email me. My email is makeupjunkie202023@gmail.com It is diffcult to answer every question in a blog post without making the blog post extremely long. So, for sake of time I generally like to answer the most asked questions. With that said let's jump into it!

  1. Can what mascara do you use and can you please do a updated mascara routine? In your last couple of Google Plus posts your lashes have been amazing!
    • Thanks! I switch between two mascaras. I would tell you what they are, but I have reviews on them coming soon! I totally can do a updated mascara routine.
  2. Is there a foundation you would suggest for dry skin?
    • No, sorry I don't have dry skin personally so I don't really know about any that are amazing. However I heard the L'Oreal True Match Lumi and the Armani Luminous Silk foundation were great. Maybe you should try those if you are in the market for a new foundation for dry skin.
  3. You use your naked 3 palette a lot. I was wondering if you could do more tutorials without using that palette?
    • I know I use it a lot. I use it a lot because the colors aren't warm and they aren't cool. They have a neutral undertone so, they are more versatile for everyone's undertone. I do understand that you would like to see other palette. I have several tutorials coming up without it. So, stay tuned.
  4. Can you do an eyebrow tutorial with pictures. I would love to see a step by step pictorial. I am new to makeup and would like to see how you do your eyebrows.
    • I definitely can do that!
  5. You never use the fashion section of your blog! I was hoping you could do OOTWs. I would love to see your clothing style!
    • It's funny that someone asked this. I was thinking of doing some fashion based posts. I wasn't so sure, but since it seems like you Dolls would like to see, then I will do it! So, stay tuned!
  6. I love your glasses! Could you please tell me what brand and what type of glasses do you have?
    • I get this question a lot! Unfortunately, I don't know the type. I have had it for so long that the numbers have worn off. However, I do know that the brand is is BCBGMAXAZRIA.
  7. Do you have an Instagram?
    • Yes I do have an Instagram, my username is picklesandoreos23. (Don't judge my username lol.) If you would like you can follow me on there!
  8. I saw a selfie of you of you wearing this amazing peach lip color! Can you please tell me what lipstick that was?
    • I think you are talking about  the Gerard Cosmetics lip glosses in Salmon and Butter Cream. Salmon is a beauty coral, orange. Butter Cream is a baby pink color. I mixed them together to achieve a peachy tone.
  9. I know you don't do videos, but I was wondering if you could do a Get Ready With Me video. I would love to see your makeup process!
    • I would have to think about that, because I previously tried to film YouTube videos; but I was unsuccessful. So, with that said I don't see myself doing videos anytime soon, but I wouldn't say I never would try to do videos again.
  10. If you could only have five makeup products what would they be?
    • That is a really hard question... I would say Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Clinque Blended Face Powder, L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, my favorite mascara, and my naked 3 palette. I love these items. I can't stop using them!
  11. What is your foundation color in the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation?
    • 6W1 Sandalwood is my color
That's all Folks!

I hope you all liked this post. If you have any questions or comments please comment below. If you would like to contact me please refer to the "follow me" tab above. Remember to share and 1+ the blog and this post. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you all have a terrific week!

Updated Foundation Routine

Hey Dolls!

I recently reviewed the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and I promise to tell you us how I used this product. So, today I will be giving a step by step tutorial on my foundation routine featuring the Double Wear foundation. Let's jump into!

First up... Skin Care:
  1. I cleanse my skin with Julep Bare Face Cleansing Oil.
  2. Then I apply my Bliss Peeling groovy Facial Serum.
  3. I lightly apply Benefit eye cream under my eyes and over my brow bone.
  4. To further refresh my eyes I roll Elf eye refresh under my eyes.
  5. To moisturize my skin I apply Argan Oil. My Argan oil for choice is Julep Elixir organic Moroccan argan oil.
  6. I apply a light layer of Glo- Therapeutics oil free SPF 40+ Facial Sunscreen to my entire face.
Onto Skin Prep:
  1. I mix Manual Override Silicone Primer and L'Oreal Magic Lumi Primer together and place it on my face.
  2. With a large fluffy powder brush I lightly apply Almay Pure Blends translucent matte powder all over my face.
  3. Then I apply the Estee Lauder foundation in sections on my face. I begin applying it to the inner portion of my face. I blend each section out with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I first press the foundation into my skin then bluff it out for a airbrushed look. This technique also allows me to use less product.
  4. Apply Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 30 café under my eyes, my chin, middle of my forehead, and, under the hallows of my cheekbones.
  5. I apply L.A. Girl pro Conceal HD Concealer in Fawn into the inner corner of my under eyes.
  6. I blend my under eye concealer out with a beauty blending sponge. I blend the concealer from the inner corner of my eye all the way out to my temples. I soften the harsh lines with my Expert Face Brush.
  7. I take the ELF blush brush and dip into my City Color Contour Effects palette. I use the color highlight to lightly set under eyes.
  8. Taking the same brush I use the color highlight and dust it over all of the areas I applied my concealer on.
  9. I lightly powder my T-zone with a large fluffy powder brush and Clinique blended face powder in 05 Transparency 5 (D).
  10. Then I take a medium sized powder and bronze the hallows of my cheeks, the outer portions of my forehead, my chin, and my neck.
  11. Next I take a flat foundation brush and the contour shade in the city color contour effects palette and create a sharp line in the hallows of my cheeks. I blend out the harsh lines with my expert Face brush
  12. I take a domed eyeshadow brush and the color contour and contour my nose lightly. I then blend it out with my fingers.
  13. I then apply whatever other makeup I decide to apply that day.
  14. Once I finish my face makeup I spray my skin with NYX matte finish spray.
That's all Folks!

That is my entire everyday foundation routine. This routine is long lasting and really easy and quick. I know it looks like a lot of steps, but it really isn't this routine takes me about 8 to 10 minutes in all. I want to know your favorite foundation. Email me, comment below, or hit me up on Google Plus to let me know.

If you have any questions or comments please leave them in the comments section below.  If you would like to contact me please refer to the "follow me" tab above. December Beauty Haul

Hey Dolls!

While I was on winter vacation I did a bit of beauty shopping and I received a few makeup items. So, I figured I would share my beauty finds with you all. With that said, today's blog post is going to be a quick haul of my recent beauty finds. Let's jump into it!

top row: hummingbird & pray for me
bottom row: be mine & empathy

  • Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Little Saint- This is an eyeshadow quad (a quad is a palette that contains four colors.) with super pigmented eyeshadows. I purchased this from Marshalls for $9.00.

  • Bliss Peeling Groovy Facial Serum - This is an exfoliating facial serum. It claims to retexturize the skin as well as lighten dark spots and brighten the skin overall. It also claims to reduce appearance of pores and fine lines  I have used it a few time and I like it. I can't say that I have used it enough to say if it works well or not. I will update you Dolls on my thought on this product. I purchased this from Marshalls for $10.00.

  • Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow in Bella Violet and Bella Pink- These are creamy, highly pigmented drugstore eyeshadows. I do own another color and I must say these are some of the best eyeshadows in the drugstore. I highly recommend them. Cool Tone Smoky Eye tutoiral

Hey Dolls!

I recently wanted to experiment with more cool tone neutrals, so the best way for me to do that was use the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay. This palette is made up entirely of cool tone neutral colors so, it was ideal for the type of look I was looking to do. I was really happy with the outcome so, I
decided o share it on the blog with you Dolls. With all that said, today's post is going to be a cool tone smoky eye using that palette. Of course you could use other palettes to achieve this look. Remember this is just a guideline. Feel free to be as creative as you would like.

Let's Begin!

  1. Take you favorite eyeshadow primer or base. I used NYX eyeshadow base in Skin Tone.
  2. Take tape and apply it to the outer v of the eyes.
  3. Using a fluffy blending brush apply the color tease to the crease of the eye. This will allow all colors placed on to blend out better.
  4. Take the color snakebite on a flat shader brush and place it on the first half of the mobile lid.
  5. Take another flat shader brush and place the color busted on the second half of the mobile lid.
  6. Take a small detailer brush and apply the color blackout to the outer v. Blend the color with a clean fluffy brush.
  7. Remove the tape. Blend out any harsh lines the tape left behind with your finger.
  8. Take another small detailer brush and apply the color chopper to the tear duct and the first half of the bottom lash line.
  9. Take a small detailer brush and the color busted and blend that color on the second half of the lower lash line.
  10. Take the color foxy and  mix it with tease and apply it on the brow bone.
  11. Take a clean fluffy brush and blend the crease. Make sure the shadows are blended out properly.
  12. Take a black pencil liner and line the water line and the tight line. I used L'Oreal's Silkesseme liner in black.
  13. Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara or/ and add false eyelashes. I did not apply false eyelashes.
That's all folks!

That was my cool tone, metallic smoky eye. I hope you all enjoyed that look. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them in the comments section below. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup Review

Hey Dolls,

First off let me start by saying I hope you all had a happy holiday season. Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas,or Kwanzaa I hope your holiday season was filled with joy and love. I would also like to wish everyone a happy new year! I hope this year is full of love and blessing.

As you all know I took a holiday vacation away from the blog, but I didn't take a vacation away from makeup. While the holiday season was among us, I purchased and received quite a few makeup items. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup (it is a foundation) was among the products I tried out. I have used the foundation for several weeks now and I thought it would be a prefect time to review this product.

As I am sure you all guessed today's post will be a review on this foundation. This review will be formulated a lot like my other reviews. There will be a brief summary of the products claims as well as a brief run down of the container, price, and color range. Then, there I will list the pros and cons and I will list if there are any affordable dupes for this product. Last, but not least, I will summarize my feelings on the product, I will give a few tips for optimal use of this product and I will finally say if I like or dislike the product. So, with all that said, let's jump into the review!

Let's begin with the product claims, shades, cost, and container information:

According to the Estee Lauder the Double Wear foundation has 15-hour staying power. They say it's a flawless long-wearing makeup that stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, and nonstop activity. They say it won't change color, smudge or come off on clothes. Feels lightweight and comfortable. The company claims that the foundation is medium, bulidable coverage. Estee Lauder says that the finish of the foundation is a natural/ semi matte finish. Which means it will not be dewy or matte, but it will be somewhere in between. They say it works well for all skin types. A few facts that Estee Lauder's website give on the foundation are: oil-free, dermatologist tested, non-acnegenic; won't clog pores, and fragrance free. The bottle is made of glass. It is a frosted rectangular glass bottle. The bottle contains 1 FL. OZ. This foundation comes in 30 shades and it retails for $37.00 U.S. dollars. This product can be found in most department stores (Macy's, Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, etc.), Sephora, and esteelauder.com.

Onto Pros:
  • Long lasting
  • Oil Control
  • Doesn't transfer
Now Cons:
  • SPF so there is a white cast in pictures
  • Has the potential to be messy; there is no pump and the product is liquid.
Any Dupes?

I wouldn't say that there is a drugstore option that this exactly like this product. if you are looking for a product that is long lasting and from the drugstore I would suggest Revlon Colorstay Foundation. The colorstay is long lasting with bulidable coverage, but it doesn't feel as lightweight as the Estee Lauder Double Wear does.

Any Tips?

  • This foundation is great for all skin types, however if you are on the normal to dry side i would use a really moisturizing moisturizer and/or primer. It will help the product glide.

  • Use a damp, dense dome shaped foundation brush to apply and bled out this product. This product doesn't come with a pump. Therefore, it is easy to spill product, I would suggest purchasing a pump from MAC or NARS.
Do I like this product?

Yes, I like this product and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a long wearing, lightweight foundation.

Anything else?

I know some of you will want to know how I use this product and what other products I may use with, etc, etc. I will have a new foundation routine up soon. I will answer all foundation routine like questions there. So, stay tuned for that! In the meantime checkout my foundation routine and review for the Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation. I will link that post below.

2015 Pantone Color of the Year

Hey Dolls!

Happy New Year! It is officially 2015 and it is time to talk about the Pantone color of the year. If you are not aware, each year Pantone comes out with a color trend of the year. Each year Sephora teams up with Pantone to create a collection of makeup products that are built around the color of the year. So today, I want to announce the color to you all and give you a little information of this color. Let's jump into.

What is the color?

2015 Color of the Year: Marsala
The 2015 Pantone Color of the Year is Marsala. Marsala would be best described as a pomegranate
color. It is a warm, deep shade. According to Pantone, "Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."

Sephora now has a Marsala collection out. This collection is made up of Sephora brand makeup items that are based of the color Marsala. The collection contains brushes, blushes, lipstick, eyeshadows and more. I will link that collection below.

In addition to a Sephora Collection there is also a collection of other makeup companies who have products that are in the Marsala family. I will place a  link to Sephora's article on this below.

What other colors can be used with Marsala?

Pantone has come up with seven sets of colors that would pair perfectly with Marsala. This is a guide to people use this color all year round no matter the season. I will link the pairing below.

That's all Folks!

I want to know how you are going to incorporate the color of the year into your makeup and fashion. Send me an email, hit me up on Google Plus, or comment below to let me know. Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy and blessed New Year!
