Bold Liner and Red Lip Tutorial

Hey Dolls!

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie! Today I am going to share my go to dramatic winged liner and red lip look with you all. Mind you this is a lot of makeup. If you aren't one to wear this much, then this look isn't for
you. I will however, be posting a way more simple and everyday look for people who are looking for a more neutral, natural look. With all that said, let's jump straight into it!

Current Favorites (Benefit, CoverFX, Marc Jacobs and more!)

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie!! Today I wanted to share all of my current beauty favorites. This will encompass makeup, and fragrances. The next post will be my "non-beauty" favorites. I will be posting my room tour and and updated makeup collection/tour video within the next three weeks. If you follow me on instagram, then you would know I am buying new things and moving things around, etc etc. Once that process is over I will be sharing my space with you all. With that being said please be patient; the post will be here soon and I will include dupes or links to all of my decor. For now, we are going to continue with today's blog post. Enjoy!

Let's begin with Fragrances:

• Versace Bright Crystal: I like this scent because it is super fresh and lightweight. It isn't heavy or anything like that. If you know me, then you know I am not into heavy scents and such. So this one is perfection!! According to sephora.com the notes are, Iced Accord, Yuzu, Pomegranate, Peony, Magnolia, Lotus Flower, Acajou, Vegetal Amber, Musk. This is a gorgeous scent. If you are into light, fresh, floral, but fruity scents you will love this perfume! 

• Thierry Mugler's Alien: I am new to the perfume game, so I asked people what fragrances they like and I kept hearing this scent. Alien to me is "sexy", but not too over powering. I find that night time scents can be too much, but this is awesome. Sephora says the notes are, Solar Accord, Jasmine Sambac, Green Notes, Cashmeran, Vanilla, Transparent Amber. This is my current go to night time scent. I highly recommend it!

• Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh: Marc Jacobs perfumes are my favorite. This is always in my collection and I will NEVER go without it. To me it smells like berries and kind of like flowers. The notes are Natural Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Violet, Wild Rose, Apple Blossom, Musks, Cedarwood, Plum.  

• Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange: This smells exactly like what the name says. It is a super citrus-y and bright. I really love it. 

Moving onto brushes and tools:

• MAC 135 Brush: I got this because Desi Perkins was raving about it and then I saw Nikki Tutorials with it and then I was sold. I picked it up and now I am in love. I use this to bronze my skin. It applies bronzer so evenly and softly it looks amazing. It makes me bronzer look like a sunkissed glow and not a bunch of bronzer. 

• Tarte Swirl Power Contour & Bronzer Brush: I really like this because I can use this brush to bronze and contour at the same time. It diffuses the contour, but it creates a defined line at the same time. It is awesome!

• Real Techniques Setting Brush: I got this a few days ago and I am obsessed with it!!! It applies setting powder under my eyes and to the edges of my nose so well. Some brushes set down powder unevenly. This is not too dense so it applies a light, even layer of skin. 

• Morphe M501 Brush: Manny raves about this brush and so does Jaclyn Hill so, I picked it up. This is a highlighting brush, or at least that is what I use it for. It applies highlighter evenly and diffuses the color out all in one motion. I find that it is perfect for concentrating product onto the face. Some brushes are too big or too dense. I am obsessed! I love it! I recently purchased back ups and the should be on their way soon!!

• Black Beauty Blender: This is just a regular beauty blender, but I like that it is darker so it doesn't look as dirty as my pink one. 

• Anastasia Beverly Hills #14 and #12 brow brushes: I like these both equally the only difference is one is bigger than the other. 

Onto Makeup:

• Anastasia Beverly Hills Single Eyeshadows in Fawn, Deep Brown, Sienna, Beauty Mark, and Red Earth. I love the blending power of these shadows along with the pigmentation. These are my go to everyday colors. Fawn is a light tan shade, deep brown is a very deep, cool toned  brown, sienna is a warm reddish brown, Beauty Mark is a deep purple, and Red Earth is a muted red brown shade. 

• Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette: This is the newest palette that they have come out with. It has 14 colors shades. This palette is beautiful for everyday or for a night out. You can make a smoky eye with this or a fresh everyday look with this palette. The shadows are the same amazing quality as the single shadows. I love this palette. I highly recommend it!

•  Benefit Peek a Bright Eyes and Big Beautiful Eyes Palettes: The shadows in these palettes are so buttery and blendable its insane! I totally recommend these palettes. I love them!!!!

• Urban Decay Naked Basic 2 Palette: I really like this palette because they are so blendable and it is hard to find a pigmented, blendable matte eyeshadow palette. I also like that they are cool toned because I use a lot warm shadows so it is a nice change for me. 

• Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators: I do have both shades; Gilded Honey and Ballerina. These are super pigmented and gorgeous. I know that there was tons of hype around the Glided Honey shade a few month back and I totally understand the hype. 

• Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Illuminator: This is a pinky purple highlighter. This has the same amount of blend ability and pigmentation of the other Anastasia highlighter I mentioned last month. I love this shade, it is beautiful on medium and deep skin tones. 

• Cargo Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Colombia: This is a super pigmented cool toned brown shade. I love this eyeshadow.  This brand is awesome!

• Cover FX Custom Cover Drops: These are pure pigments that are meant to be added directly into foundaton, bb cream, tinted moisturizer, etc. Their purpose is to give more coverage to your favorite base products without disturbing the texture or longevity of the makeup. I am using them with the CoverFX Radiance oil. I really love the finish and the coverage of these two together. I will not go with them EVER. They are my new holygrail base products.

Medium Coverage, Satin Finish Foundation Routine!

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie! Today's blog post is going to be a dewy/satin foundation routine. I know I have said time and time again that I am super oily, and I am, but lately I haven't been as oily as I usually am. Which is fine with me. I am now more combo to normal than combo to oily. So I have been embracing more "dewy" foundations. Today I want to share my favorite satin foundation routine with you. Just so you know this is a super high end routine.  It just happened that way. As you all know I love lower end things so don't think for a second I am still using and purchasing new drugstore makeup. I just have these things in my arsenal and I want to use them. I will provide alternatives to every product. Whether it is a drugstore alternative for a higher end product or vice versa. Also, this routine will include my go to highlighter, blushes, and bronzers. I will list the ones I am loving; each product I will list is fantastic and sure fire favorites. With all that said, lets jump straight into it!

Today's post is going to me my highly anticipated makeup storage tour. I have been getting tons of emails and requests regarding how I store my makeup and I finally am ready to show you dolls my storage. It has taken a while because I was having serious camera issues, that have yet to be resolved, so I took pictures. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you all understand! If everything goes well with one of the videos, then I will add it to this post. If not pictures will have to do for now. Again, I am sorry for the super long wait. I promise I won't make the wait that long ever again. Now, with all that said, let's get started!!

P.S. I don't have tons of money, I don't have a whole makeup room, and I am only one person. My collection is not HUGE it is medium sized, but the size works for me. I can't purchase $200.00 vanity mirrors and $400.00 worth of storage units from Pier 1 or Ikea, but I can make my space homey and inviting for me in the terms of my budget. And I do. So, what you will see works for me and my current needs. You don't have to agree or like my set up. I am just sharing this highly requested topic because a lot of the Dolls were curious. I just wanted to say that before you guys read this blog. I just wanted you to keep that in mind. Now I will stop rambling and allow you to enjoy today's post. See you soon!

Tip: Add oil to concealer or foundation

Did you know you can use oil to make a dry or "too" matte foundation or concealer smoother and more dewy without changing the coverage? Well you can. Take a small amount of your favorite face friendly oil and mix it into your concealer or foundation, then apply. Add more oil or more makeup if the ratio is not correct.

BTW, oils that are face friendly are rose hip, grapeseed, argan oil, and almond oil. Coconut Oil or Olive oil may be too heavy for this trick.

This is NOT a foundation routine because I don't use foundation when doing this look; I use BB Cream. BB Cream is just tinted moisture. (In case your curious) This look is nice when you don't want to put on makeup but, you have somewhere to be or you will be out in the sun and you don't want a bunch of makeup on. This look is glowy and bronzy which is perfect for summer! The next thing I want to mention is the post is going to have a lot of Maybelline products in it. I just want you to know that I am not at all affiliated with them, nor did they send me any of these products. I just truly love them and use them when I do this routine. Neutral, Everyday Glam Eye Tutorial

Today's post is going to be a neutral, everyday glam look. I like to wear this on day to day when I want
more than just some lip gloss, brow gel, and mascara. The look isn't heavy or overly dramatic which makes it great from wearing to work or school or anything else you would do when it is daytime. Remember you can skip steps or switch out certain products for anything in your personal stash. This is more of a guideline rather than a mandatory thing. That's all! Let's get started!

Favorite Mascaras

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie! Today's post is going to be my favorite mascaras! Eyes are the window to your soul, or so they say, so why not make them look flirty with amazing mascara?! While you ponder that question let's jump into my favorites.

• Julep Go Big: This is a volumizing mascara and boy does it volumize! This makes my lashes look thick and full. It even gives some length. It comes in one color; black, which works for me because I prefer a rich black color compared to brown. The wand is small and it tapers which makes it ideal for inner corner lashes. The formula is parben free and safe for contact lens wearers. 

•  L'Oreal Voluminous Original: This is a classic mascara! It volumizes the lashes like a dream. It holds a curl for hours and doesn't smudge onto contacts. 

• Jordana Best Lash Extreme: This is a "cheaper" alternative to the L'Oreal mascara I listed above. Again, this gives the lashes amazing volume and lift. The curl will hold up forever as well. 

• Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus: OMG this gives separation, length, and a bit of volume. It is like everything you could ever need in a mascara. However, if you have thin lashes this formula may be to heavy because it is a bit wet when first applied. 

• Too Faced Better Than Sex: Not too sure if it is better than sex but, it is an amazing mascara. It curls, lengths, thickens, and adds luscious volume. 

• Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes: This is wonderful! It volumizes, lengths a bit, and separates. It doesn't give much of a curl but, if you use a lash curler before or after it will definitely hold that curl. 

• L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Black Lacquer: This is an ultra dark, super thickening mascara. It adds length and volume. However, it does clump a bit. I don't mind but, if you do just use a clean spoolie or a lash comb to remove any lumpiness.

I talked about two eyebrow products from Julep several weeks back and I told you all I would do a review on it once I was finish testing the products out. I have finally finished testing the products and I think I can give an honest review. So, without further rambling let's get started!

I am back with another beauty haul...what can I say I am a shop-o-colic! Let's jump into it!

• Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation in Deep Honey: I saw Patrick Starr raving about this foundation all over YouTube and Instagram, so I had to pick it up. I have been using it for a couple of weeks and I must say I like it. I don't want to go into too much detail because I did review this on my Instagram a while back. • Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick in Bare it All: This is a peachy, pinky, nude satin finish lipstick. I love the pigmentation and feel of Wet n Wild Mega Last lipsticks. I highly recommend them. 

• CVS brand Eye Crease Blender Brush: It's a circular, semi dense brush. I think it works amazingly to blend out my crease and outer v area. I would totally go pick up more, because it was only like two bucks!

• Wet n Wild Powder Brush: I really don't want to get into too much detail about this because I just did a post about my favorite Wet n Wild products and this was included in it. I will link that post below for anyone who is interested in this brush. 

• Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Brush: I really don't want to get into too much detail about this because I just did a post about my favorite Wet n Wild products and this was included in it. I will link that post below for anyone who is interested in this brush. 

• Walgreens' Brand Eyelash Curler: This is the cutest eyelash curler EVER! It has a shiny purple, green, and blue coating. I think it curls my lashes without creating a dent or a line in my lashes. It also doesn't snag or pull on my lashes which I love. 

• NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade in espresso: I put up a review on this up on Monday. Make sure you check it out. I go in depth in that post on the claims of the product, price, pros, cons, and more. 

• NYX Micro Eyebrow Pencil in espresso: This is an absolutely amazing dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. It has simliar packaging, texture, and lasting power. I highly recommend this. I will do a more in depth review in the near future, so please stay tuned. 

• 10 piece Brush set: I purchased this from Amazon and it is similar to the BH Cosmetics Brush Set or so I have heard. I really like them. I just wish they were slightly more dense, but they were like $10 USD, so I'm not complaining. 

• Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Eyeshadow Trio: I have been hearing amazing things about this trio for several years now and I thought it was about time I got my little hands on it. I have used these shadows once or twice since getting them and I am in love. These shades are right up my alley. They make the perfect everyday look for me. I highly recommend them. 

• L'Oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Black Lacquer: This is just a re-purchase. I recently raved about this in my favorite L'Oreal Products post. I will link it below. 

• Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks in Matte Blush, Matte Frappuccino, and Matte Classic: OMG! Guys I am in love with these. They are super inexpensive, creamy, pigmented, and blendable. They come in a huge range of colors, but I only picked up these three. If you are near a Walgreens I suggest you pick these up... PRONTO! 

• Bracelet from Modern and Chic Boutique: My mom got this for me a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad she did. Its a simple, silver steel plate bracelet with a black leather string on it. The bracelet says: "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." I love how inspirational it is. I will leave a link to this bracelet below. 

• L'Oreal Voluminous Original in black: This is another re-purchase. I did mention this is my recent L'Oreal post as well. 

• L'Oreal Silkissime in Black: This is another re-purchase. (If you can't tell, I truly do love these products.) I did mention these in my recent L'Oreal post as well. Check below for a link to that. 

• L'Oreal Infalliable Pro- Matte Foundation in 111 Soft Sable: I have been hearing a lot about this product and I needed to pick it up and see what all the hype was about. I will definitely review it after I try it.
