Review: L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder

Hey Dolls!

Welcome back to the Makeup Junkie! Monday I put up a review on L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Foundation and I said today's posts was going to be on the powder. If you haven't seen that post, type the name in the search box above and their you will find a review for the liquid foundation. As you all ready know today I will review the powder. So, let's jump into it!

Let's begin with product claims, price, availability, etc.

  • L'Oreal says, this powder gives "Up to 16HR shine-defying powder. Creates the perfect matte finish."
  • The following are the company's claims about this powder:
    • Absorbs excess oil and reduces shine on the skin’s surface for up to 16 hours.
    • The lightweight pressed powder can be used alone, to set foundation after application, and/or throughout the day for quick touch-ups.
    • Matte Finish
    • Air Fine Texture
  • This powder comes in 8 shades. I use 700 Classic Tan to sent my highlighted areas and 800 Cocoa to bronze and warm up my skin. They do not have a shade the color of my skin tone.
  • The L'Oreal website price listed is $12.99 USD. I purchased mine from Walmart for $2.00 USD less.
  • This is available at all drugstores and Ulta. You can also purchase it online at Amazon or Drugstore.com.
  • This product comes in a black and clear square plastic case. It comes with a mirror and a sponge.
  • 0.31 oz of product comes in this container.
  • The Ingredients are: TALC PERLITE TRIISOSTEARIN PHENYL TRIMETHICONE MAGNESIUM STEARATE CAPRYLYL GLYCOL TOCOPHERYL ACETATE CALCIUM GLUCONATE MAGNESIUM GLUCONATE [+/- MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / IRON OXIDES CI 77891 / TITANIUM DIOXIDE
Moving onto the Pros:
  • Blendable
  • Bulidable
  • Soft
  • Mattifying
  • Great for on the go
  • Nice Mirror
  • Medium Coverage
Onto the Cons:
  • Color Range is horrible
  • Expensive
How many thumbs up?

I would say one and 3/4 thumbs up.

Final Thoughts?

I love this powder it sets everything in place and looks soft and blended, super natural looking. I do have two issues with this powder. One issue is, I have with this is the fact that there isn't enough shades for everyone to find the perfect color to match their skin tone. My second is is the price. $13 for one powder at the drugstore is kind of pricey. If you bought the whole collection (foundation and powder) You would be spending about $26.00 USD. I think that is a lot of money.

Would I repurchase it?

Yes I would.

That's all folks!
