2015 Pantone Color of the Year

Hey Dolls!

Happy New Year! It is officially 2015 and it is time to talk about the Pantone color of the year. If you are not aware, each year Pantone comes out with a color trend of the year. Each year Sephora teams up with Pantone to create a collection of makeup products that are built around the color of the year. So today, I want to announce the color to you all and give you a little information of this color. Let's jump into.

What is the color?

2015 Color of the Year: Marsala
The 2015 Pantone Color of the Year is Marsala. Marsala would be best described as a pomegranate
color. It is a warm, deep shade. According to Pantone, "Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."

Sephora now has a Marsala collection out. This collection is made up of Sephora brand makeup items that are based of the color Marsala. The collection contains brushes, blushes, lipstick, eyeshadows and more. I will link that collection below.

In addition to a Sephora Collection there is also a collection of other makeup companies who have products that are in the Marsala family. I will place a  link to Sephora's article on this below.

What other colors can be used with Marsala?

Pantone has come up with seven sets of colors that would pair perfectly with Marsala. This is a guide to people use this color all year round no matter the season. I will link the pairing below.

That's all Folks!

I want to know how you are going to incorporate the color of the year into your makeup and fashion. Send me an email, hit me up on Google Plus, or comment below to let me know. Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy and blessed New Year!
