DIY Anti-aging Beauty Oil

Hey Dolls!

I recently started a new skin care series on the blog called, au naturel. This series is all about easy, natural, DIY skin care. Today I will be sharing a easy recipe for a beauty oil. This is recommended for all skin types, but it would work best for people with dry and/or anti-aging. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, do not have any of the ingredients, or don't like any of the ingredients feel free to remove them or switch them with other ingredients. With all of that said, let's jump into it!

What ingredients are in this beauty oil and what do they do for the skin?
Argan Oil
  • Argan Oil
    • Moisturizes, heals/diminishes scarring, protective, and restores elasticity.
    • Argan Oil is high in fatty acids and vitamin E which helps it moisturize, heal, and protect the skin. It is considered anti-aging because it is high in antioxidants. Antioxidants fight wrinkle causing free radicals. The fatty acids and vitamin E help restore elasticity in the skin. Restored elasticity makes the skin appear more plump and youthful.

  • Rosehip Oil
  • Rosehip Oil
    • Moisturizes, heal/diminishes scarring, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging.
    • Rosehip Oil is rich in fatty acid. Particularly omega-3 and omega-6. Both Omega-3 and Omega-6 are anti-inflammatory and moisturizing. Both Omegas are high in antioxidants. Antioxidants fight wrinkle causing free radicals. These fatty acids make the skin feel softer and appear glowy, fresh, and youthful.
    • Vitamin A is also in Rosehip Oil. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin cells; which makes the skin appear more glowy and supple.
    • Rosehip Oil contains vitamin C. Vitamin C reduces the appearance of dark marks and spots.

  • Grapeseed Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
    • Moisturizes, heals/diminishes scarring, protective, and anti-aging.
    • Grapeseed Oil contains vitamin E. Vitamin E heals scars, moisturizes, and protects the skin.
    • Grapeseed Oil also contains Fatty Acids. In particular linoleic acid. This fatty acid soothes and nourishes the skin.
    • Antioxidants protects the skin from wrinkle causing free radicals.
How do you use this beauty oil?
Simply apply this oil to freshly washed skin. Only use this a night because it maybe too heavy for daytime use.

How do you store this beauty oil?
This can be stored in a container with a pump for easy use. This mixture will last as long as you want it to. Oil very rarely goes bad. It can be stored in the same place as the rest of your skin care.

What is the recipe for this beauty oil?
  • 1 part Argan Oil
  • 2 parts Rosehip Oil
  • 1 part Grapeseed Oil
I say parts because this recipe will work for all bottle sizes. You can make a large batch, a small batch or somewhere in between. If you would like to change the recipe by adding more parts of any oil that is fine. These oils are gentle and will not harm you if the recipe is changed. Feel free to customize the recipe to your liking.

Tips?
  1. Only use this at night. These oils will be too heavy for daytime use.
  2. Use a little of this beauty oil to make your foundation or concealer more creamy and/or glowy without compromising the coverage of the product.
What can people except after using this product?
People will notice softer, more radiant skin within a month. People will notice less scarring. However the timing of this varies depending on the amount of scars and how old the scars are.

That's all folks!
